Watchtree event 28 February 2019
Unfortunately the weather was not our friend. Completely overcast from start to finish
There was an excellent turnout however and we kept all entertained with a series of events:
Outside there was a practical demonstration of how our GOTO telescope works by David Ramshaw
David Wright demonstrated his telescope outside, explaining how you take and process images on a modern driven telescope
Inside David Ramshaw then did his powerpoint presentation on Trinity Observatory, the history of the society, our meetings, what we do etc..
This was followed by David Wright showing recent images he had taken of various deep sky objects in our northern sky.
Finally David Ramshaw showed his presentation, particularly for the children present, of the Spirit and Opporunity Rover images in 3D in the early days of their expedition on Mars.
