The Border Astronomical Society

The society meetings are open to all and consist of an initial general discussion followed by:-

"Constellation of the Week" - how to find it - what is of interest - galaxies - stars - planets etc..

This will normally be followed by a half hour illustrated talk on an astronomical topic.

N.B. In the event of good viewing conditions the programme for that evening will be postponed and the telescope will be put to use for the benefit of members. All meetings start at 7.30 p.m. in the Trinity School Observatory. Admission is free, but adults are encouraged to donate £1 towards the Society's funds to help pay for improvements to the facility. Meetings generally finish at 9.00 p.m. or later, if the viewing is good.
