The Solar Eclipse of 20 March 2015 As most of you will know it was cloudy over Carlisle for the first half of the event then breaks appeared and we could see the sun through the natural filter of the clouds and then we had almost clear skies for the second half. I took pictures directly with my SLR camera on a tripod with 50mm lens and 300 mm lens and then through the 6" refractor until the shadow left the disc.
