Only Terry and myself were available and the weather was not kind. However the children really enjoyed seeing Terry demonstrate his telescope and talk about telescopes.

I did my powerpoint topic on 'Where we are in space' - our Solar System, our Galaxy and beyond which went down well.

Drinks and sandwiches were provided and all from the village invited. Everyone enjoyed the evening and a lot of questions were asked. I finished off with the Powerpoint topic on the Mars Landers, Spirit and Opportunity complete with 3D images using the specs provided.

As is often the case Jupiter came out from behind the clouds as we were leaving, but we promised to arrange for the children to come to the observatory one clear night in the spring to see the sky through our 16" reflector.
