Comet Neowise

(20/07/20) cloudy

The sky to the west cleared out unexpectedly in the late evening so I (David Ramshaw) drove out onto Drumburgh Marsh at about 1045 pm. Sky rather hazy and still bright.

Could not distinguish the Plough until about 11.00 pm. Only had my canon SLR with 18 - 55 mm lens, no telescope.

Cloud came in by midnight. Sky still not very dark.

Comet is below the Plough barely visible (18mm lens)
Just beyond the arrow head
A little later with a 55 mm lens
Enlarged from previous image (grainy as ISO3600 used 5 sec.)
