National Science Week 2007

The observatory was open on the following dates and times:

Monday 12 March at 7.30 p.m.

Wednesday 14 March at 7.30 p.m.

We had several visitors on the Monday night who were intrigued to see Saturn and the Orion nebula. On Tuesday we had a large group of cub/scouts, male and female, from the Hesket in the Forest group. In spite of the large numbers everybody saw Saturn through the large telescope and enjoyed two short powerpoint presentations by society members.
