The Lakeland Ospreys
by David Ramshaw
Ospreys have bred at Bassenthwaite since 2001
and have successfully produced chicks every year.
The re-colonisation by the birds of this part of England is managed by the Lake District Osprey Project, which is a partnership involving the Forestry Commission, the RSPB and the Lake District National Park Authority. This book gives the reader an insight not only into how colonisation by ospreys has progressed in Lakeland, but also into the daily life and habits of this fascinating bird of prey.
